News:No lecture January 9-12, 2017.
Starting November 3, 2016, the lecture will take place in room 6.020, Wegelerstr. 6
Content:Inverse problems appear in many areas of applied mathematics, wherever one is interested in determining a couse from an observed effect. Inverse problems are for instance frequently encountered in imaging techniques in medicine. Inverse problems are, in general, ill-posed and thus difficult to handle numerically. We will be concerned with theoretical analysis, regularization, and discretization of this class of problems.
Lecture:Time: Tuesday 12:15-13:45 and Thursday 10:15-11:45 (t.b.d.)
Room: 6.020 (Wegeler Str. 6).
