Center for Earth System Observation and Computational Analysis

Hide description. Homepage.

The interdisciplinary Center for Earth Observation and Computational Analysis (CESOC) brings together scientists from the Universities of Bonn and Köln as well as the Forschungszentrum Jülich. The focus is on physical, mathematical and biogeochemical modeling of the coupled earth system in view of the development of a digital Earth model. This digital twin will be connecting novel observation technologies with latest numerical simulation methods and software. We will rely on the traditionally close ties between gesosciences, information technology as well as mathematical methods to innovate through high performance computing, big data integration, optimisation, and analysis.
