News:

No exercise class on Tuesday, June 14.

Requirements:

Wissenschaftliches Rechnen I (V3E1/F4E1)

Lecture:

Time: Tuesday 10:15-11:45 and Thursday 8:15-9:45
Room: 6.020 (Wegeler Str. 6).

Exercises:

Time: Tuesday 16:30- 18:00
Room: 6.020 (Wegeler Str. 6).

Contents:

We will discuss optimal control problems subject to (linear and possibly semilinear) partial differential equations. We study existence and regularity of solutions, necessary and sufficient optimality conditions, and solution algorithms in function spaces.

Final Exam:

Appointments for the final exam (oral) will be made individually by Prof. Dr. Neitzel.

Exercise sheets:

Excercise sheets will be provided on a weekly basis, starting on April 12th and have to be handed in for grading until the date provided. Exercises may be discussed in (fixed) groups of 2 or 3 students.

Requirements for the exam:

Students need to achieve 50% of the points of the theoretical exercises for admittance to the final exam.
